Cookie Policy

This page lists the cookies and similar technologies (such as browser storage) that BrenCor Digital Enterprises Inc. uses on HostMoose's website and customer portal, and what each does. Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. For how we handle personal information more generally, see our Privacy Policy.

1. Needed to run the service (always on)

  • Login and session cookies. Keep you logged in to the portal and protect your session. Without them you can't log in.
  • Your analytics choice. We remember whether you pressed Accept or Decline in the banner, in your browser's storage. It never leaves your device.
  • Stripe. On the checkout page, our payment processor sets cookies and uses browser storage to process your payment and prevent fraud. Stripe is not loaded on other pages.
  • Sentry (error monitoring). We use Sentry to find and fix errors in the website and portal. It collects technical details when something goes wrong, plus a small sample of sessions (and every session that has an error) so we can see what happened. Text and media in those recordings are masked, so what you type and see on screen isn't readable in them. We treat this as necessary to keep the service working, so it runs whether or not you accept analytics. Sentry is in the United States.

2. Only if you press Accept: analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people move around the site, so we can improve it. It is off by default: nothing from Google loads until you press Accept in the banner. If you press Decline, or don't answer, it never loads. When it is on, it sets cookies and sends your IP address and browser details to Google, which is in the United States. We use them for statistics about our own site, not for advertising, and we don't use advertising cookies or ad networks.

3. Your choices

  • Change your mind any time with Cookie settings in the footer of any page. Declining after accepting reloads the page without Google's scripts. You can also delete the cookies Google already set in your browser settings.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones will stop you from logging in or checking out.
  • Ask us to remove information that error monitoring or analytics collected about you: email privacy@hostmoose.ca.

4. Changes

We'll update this page when we add or remove a tool, and change the date at the top.
